Jed Kosiner
Director Field Operations
As with many individuals in EMS, Jed’s path to this field was not traditional. Jed was born and raised in Long Beach, New York. Growing up surfing, skating, and creating art, Jed was pursuing his degree in Jazz Performance at Hofstra University before being granted the opportunity to work alongside some of his favorite musicians. Jed toured with Medeski, Martin, and Wood for over 10 years. After such time, he settled down to own three successful small businesses in New Paltz with his younger brother. In his last year of owning the businesses, Jed realized he should take his creativity, passion for this town, and love of people to make a difference. He earned his EMT in the fall of 2020 and, shortly after, began volunteering at New Paltz Rescue Squad. In 2022 he became a full time employee of NPRS.
Jed recently completed the paramedic program at Dutchess Community College and now serves as Captain at New Paltz Rescue Squad. Jed is a loving husband and father to three young children. When he is not out on the road, he enjoys hiking, cycling, traveling, and playing music.
